Partnerships key component at St. John Providence Park
Hospital in Novi

One
of the more noteworthy aspects of the new St. John Providence Park
Hospital Novi that opens Sept. 5 is the partnership with a doctor's
group and their investment of $70 million in the new campus.
"For years, hospitals have had a transactional relationship with
doctors. Now they have not only invested their talents, but they
have invested their money," said Providence Park CEO Rob Casalou.

City of Novi streamlines building process
City Council approves amendment to Zoning Ordinance

On Monday, August 11, the Novi City Council approved an ordinance
amendment that will make getting bigger easier for developers and
builders doing business in Novi.

Papa Joe's to open in Novi
(August 11, 2008)
Papa
Joe's will open its metro Detroit store in Novi as part of the
reconfigured retail development 12 Mile Crossing at Fountainwalk.
The lease was signed last week for a 30,000-square-foot store, said
Tony Curtis, a partner in the venture, Papa Joe's Novi L.L.C. It
will include a 10,000-square-foot mezzanine to be used for
wine-tasting and entrances facing 12 Mile Road and the courtyard of
the open-air retail center.
ITC Holdings Corp.
Reports Second Quarter 2008 Results

ITC Holdings Corp. today announced its second quarter results for
the period ended June 30, 2008. Net income for the quarter was $28.7
million, or $0.57 per diluted share, compared to $20.0 million, or
$0.46 per diluted share for the second quarter of 2007. Net income
for the first six months of 2008 was $54.2 million, or $1.10 per
diluted share, compared to $36.9 million, or $0.85 per diluted share
for the same period last year.

The City of Novi welcomes the California Pizza Kitchen to the Novi
community. The California-based restaurant opened its doors to the
public on Tuesday, August 5th. California Pizza Kitchen is located
in the Nordstrom wing of Twelve Oaks Mall.
Novi ready to show off its showcase locations
(July 31, 2008)
The City of Novi is jumping into the bailiwick of commercial real
estate, and will in September host its first property showcase,
Destination Novi. The city is partnering with the National
Association of Industrial and Office Properties and hopes to attract
about 100 attendees - enough to fill two buses - said Ara Topouzian,
Novi's economic development manager.

Battery maker EnerSys moving from Auburn Hills to Novi

Industrial vehicle
battery maker EnerSys will move its Auburn Hills plant to Novi later
this year or in early in 2009. The move will not only accommodate
its growth, but will also put the company in a more central
location, more convenient to its customer base and employees.

Bar Louie Novi brings cheers to Twelve Mile Crossing at
Fountain Walk, opens Friday

The
bustling nightlife of Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk will
open its newest addition at the turn of the month, introducing Bar
Louie to the scene. Bar Louie Novi, of the Chicago-based chain
that opened locations in Livonia and Ann Arbor last summer, plans to
open its sixth Michigan location Friday.

MichBio Announces Program for 2008 Expo

MichBio, the association for Michigan's
bioscience industry, today announced the program for its 2008 Expo
and Conference at the Rock Financial ShowPlace in Novi, MI on Nov.
18-19. "This year's Expo provides a robust schedule of
offerings covering two full days for the first time," said MichBio
Executive Director, Stephen Rapundalo, Ph.D. "We have a number of
new programs and a wide variety tracks and topics, all capped off
with a keynote address from Christine Poon, vice chair of Johnson &
Johnson, and one of the most respected professionals in the
industry."
