Novi Expo Center set for redevelopment
July 10, 2012
Demolition
began last month on the former Novi Expo Center,
which sits on a 25-acre site at I-96 and Novi Road.
The demolition project will take an estimated six
weeks to tear down the 300,000 square-foot building
built in 1966 to house auto supplier Adell
Industries. The building has been vacant for seven
years, since Novi Expo Center president Blair Bowman
relocated his convention center to the site now
known as the Suburban Collection Showplace. There
are no immediate plans for the parcel, but the city
would like to see it developed in accordance with
the City's Master Plan.
